People Can Pre-Order the Asuka and Eva Unit-02 Evangelion Desktop Army Figures Now

Pre-orders for the Neon Genesis Evangelion Asuka and Eva Unit-02 Limited Run Desktop Army figures are now live, giving fans a chance to get their hands on yet another set of Desktop Army figurines to add to their collection. This set comes with Eva pilot Asuka Langely and Evangelion Unit-02. Unlike other figurines featuring Asuka and her Eva, this version is based off of the designs featured in the upcoming theatrical release of Neon Genesis Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0. The Asuka and Eva Unit-02 figures will cost ¥8,228 or roughly $77. The Limited Run Desktop Army Asuka and Unit-02 figurine set will ship in February 2021.[Thanks, Famitsu!] Since this version of Unit-02 is based off of the upcoming theatrical release, Unit-02 will have a new weapon–a double-bladed naginata. Asuka will also be able to hold this weapon as well. In addition to this, the accessories from the Desktop Army set featuring Asuka, Rei, and Mari can be used with the Neon Genesis Evangelion Unit-02 and Asuka Limited Run Desktop Army set. Neon Genesis Evangelion originally began its run in Japan in October 1995. Evangelion: Death (True)2, the edit of 1997’s Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth, appeared in 1998. The End of Evangelion appeared in 1997. The Rebuild of Evangelion films, which offer a different take on the story, began airing in Japan in 2007 with Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo appeared in 2009 and 2012. The Neon Genesis Evangelion Desktop Army Asuka and Evangelion Unit-02 figurines will release in February 2021.
