Moving forward, Sony aims to achieve revenue growth through various means with the PlayStation Platform. This includes increasing active users and playtime and enhancing network services. Another focus is to reinforce content IP so that consumers go to PlayStation as their platform of choice.

However, while the goal is to bring more people to PlayStation platforms, Sony acknowledges that “competition from Online PC games and players from other industries is expected to continue to intensify.” With that being said, Sony acknowledges that PC players will stick to the PC platforms, but the goal here is to basically bring PlayStation to them, instead.

Sony is looking to do so by exploring possibilities of bringing more first-party titles to PC. Under the Game & Network Services business segment, Sony mentioned the following under its strategic direction section:

“We will explore expanding our 1st party titles to the PC platform, in order to promote further growth in our profitability.”

The PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn that released earlier this month was another part of Sony’s goal of introducing more gamers to PlayStation. While it wasn’t exactly a first-party title, Death Stranding was another PlayStation-exclusive that released for PC in June.

Some notable first-party titles or series that still remain exclusive to PlayStation are Bloodborne, God of War, The Last of Us, Uncharted, and Ratchet & Clank. We can also throw in the more recent Ghost of Tsushima by Sucker Punch in the mix.
