The goal behind Kizuna AI’s first VR rhythm game is to make her wish of “connecting with everybody around the world” come true. In Kizuna AI – Touch the Beat! the “virtual artist” Kizuna AI will join you in a VR space to enjoy the music together.

While we didn’t get any further gameplay details, developers Activ8 and Gemdrops say that the game will offer an experience that you can only get from VR, all while grooving out. More information will arrive on a later date.

Kizuna AI is the most popular virtual YouTuber who boasts over 4.3 million subscribers across her channels. She has appeared in various video game collaborations including Dolls Order and Azur Lane. More recently, she appeared as a DLC character in Compile Heart’s Neptunia Virtual Stars.

Virtual YouTubers have been popular in Japan for quite some time now, but we’re starting to see it more in the West. The popular virtual YouTuber group Hololive, which began several years ago in Japan, recently expanded with an English division.

Kizuna AI – Touch the Beat! will release in Japan on October 13, 2020 for Oculus Quest.
