In addition to the announcement of the Magnamalo, several other monsters were announced for Monster Hunter Rise. These included the Aknosom, a bird type monster that resembles a crane, the Tetranadon, and the Great Izuchi, which seems to be a monster that hunts in packs. These new monsters were revealed in the announcement trailer for the game and its follow-up Direct.

However, you can get a better look at the Magnamalo with the official Monster Hunter Rise render below.

Outside of the introduction of the new flagship monster, the announcement trailer included a look at gameplay. Similar to Monster Hunter: World, players will be able to use the Wirebug to navigate around the environments. Additionally, the trailer also provided a glimpse at the new player hub and Palamute–a new, friendly furry companion.

Monster Hunter Rise is in development for the Nintendo Switch and will launch on March 26, 2021. Pre-orders are currently available, and pre-order bonuses include layered armor.
