The progress on Starlit Season has mostly gone silent, ever since most presentations—including a talk show at Taipei Game Show—were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The upcoming live stream will be joined by the game’s producer Hayato Kutaragi and The Idolmaster series producer Yozo Sakagami. Several voice actresses will also be present in the stream; one of the confirmed guests is Asami Shimoda, who voices Ami and Mami Futami in the series.

You can check the gameplay mechanics that have been revealed so far for a refresher. Starlit Season will feature not only the full 13-member cast of 765 Production All-Stars, but also 5 more characters from each of The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls, Million Live, and Shiny Colors, for a grand total of 28 idols. Right now, only 3 out of 5 idols from each title have been confirmed; the remaining characters are still shrouded in mystery.

The Idolmaster: Starlit Season is currently slated for release in Japan and Asia on PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam in 2020. With the confirmation of the series’ first-ever PC release, the producers are also keen on localizing the game overseas, although so far it seems to be more focused on Chinese-speaking regions.
