Nippon Ichi Software shared a look at the first gameplay footage for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny at TGS 2020 Online.

The Disgaea 6 gameplay footage begins at the 3:23:15 mark in the above embed. It starts with a story introduction as well as an introduction for the main character Zed, who is a zombie. The dog Cerberus is Zed’s best zombie dog buddy who isn’t good at fighting but will still find ways to help.
We get to see the first battle at the 3:25:29 mark of the video. The introduction fight starts with Zed going up against a bunch of lv 999 enemies. That sounds pretty tough, but Zed is level “????” (probably around level 9999), so he has no problem one-shotting each enemy on the field. The Disgaea 6 gameplay demo for TGS 2020 Online ends after the first battle.
Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on January 28, 2021. The game will arrive for the Switch in the West in Summer 2021. In case you missed it, NIS president Sohei Niikawa recently talked about Disgaea 6‘s development and the three changes to keep things fresh for the series.
