Square Enix released a new trailer forĀ Octopath Traveler: Conquerors of the ContinentĀ that highlights Helminia, the “Witch of Greed,” who conquers using her abundance of wealth.

The trailer focuses on Helminia, one of the three Conquerors, great evils who force their will over the land. Helminia is known as the “Witch of Greed,” and she clarifies why in the trailer. To Helminia, the only thing that matters is wealth, and those without any have no meaning. However, she’s not only greedy but vile in other ways. In the story trailer, we see her telling servants to work harder if they have the energy to complain. However, after getting her dress stained with their blood, she kills them off for having “less value than a slave.”
Helminia rules the area with brute force against the peasants, and even has young girls sell “suspicious powder” around town at exorbitant prices. We’ll see those who deem themselves “worth” protecting their village stand against the Conqueror in this part of the story.
