Breakers Collection Brings Back Breakers and Breakers Revenge

More retro fighting games will be revived in a form that will help preserve them and allow more people to play them. QUByte is working with Visco Corporation on Breakers Collection, which will be a 2021 compilation that includes both Breakers and Breakers Revenge.

Breakers and its sequel are both 1v1, 2D, sprite-based fighters where you use standard and special moves to take down your opponent. You have nine playable characters to choose from in the original and ten in Breakers Revenge.

So far, QUByte only announced one feature that will be unique to this compilation. Online multiplayer is being added to both of the games in the Breakers Collection.

Here’s a video looking at it in action.

And here are some initial screenshots of the game.

This is actually the second Breakers port in the last three years. Back in 2017, a Dreamcast version of the original game was released. You can still find it online through places like Video Games New York for $39.99. This will mark the first time Breakers Revenge has gotten ported to a more modern system.

Breakers Collection will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Breakers is available on the Neo Geo, Neo Geo CD, and Dreamcast.
