Minecraft Dungeons Cross-play Will Arrive in November 2020

Big things are coming to Minecraft Dungeons. During the Minecraft Live 2020 show, Mojang offered multiple updates on all things related to the series, and this spin-off was among the titles getting major announcements. The biggest being that the free Minecraft Dungeons cross-play update will launch in November 2020. Then, a month later, there will be another free update with more difficulties and paid DLC.

With cross-play, all versions of the game will be able to play together. The Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC releases will all be supported. An exact launch date beyond November 2020 wasn’t announced, though.

Though, that’s a trend for these new reveals. None of them came with exact dates, even if they were only a month away. The Apocalypse Plus update, for example, will just be around in December 2020. This general update will add new equipment, raise your level cap, and add even more difficulties.

The new Howling Peaks DLC will launch in December 2020 too. It seems to follow the pattern set by Creeping Winter and Jungle Awakens, which means a new boss (Tempest Golem), new equipments and missions, and new enemies. It will be available alone, likely at $5.99 if it follows the current DLC pattern, or in a new season pass. (The current one, Hero Pass, is $9.99 and gives people the previous two DLC packs, a chicken pet, skins, and a hero cape.)

Minecraft Dungeons is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Minecraft Dungeons cross-play update will arrive in November 2020, followed by Howling Peaks and Apocalypse Plus in December 2020.
