Saison Gaming Card

Saison Gaming Card Will Let You Collect Points For Game Purchases

If you like to purchase digital games and season passes, or maybe even whale a Gacha in a free-to-play game, there is a new credit card in Japan designed to coincide with digital purchases. Credit Saison started issuing a credit card for Japanese gamers called the Saison Gaming Card on December 1, 2020. [Thanks, Game Watch!]

While the Gaming Card acts just like any other MasterCard credit card and can also be used for non-gaming transactions, the reward points will be specifically tailored towards games. Every 100 yen spent with the card will result in a bonus Gaming Coin worth 1 yen.

Gaming Coins can be exclusively traded for gift codes for any game platform in Japan, like mobile devices, PCs, and consoles. Credit Saison will also eventually add more tradeable items related to gaming experiences, such as energy drinks specifically made for gamers.

The billing cycle for the Saison Gaming Card will run from the 11th to the 10th of the following month. The total payment will be automatically taken from the user’s bank account on the 4th of the month, and the bonus Gaming Coins will be available on the 28th. For example, the payment for the January 11-February 10 period will be debited on March 4, with the Gaming Coins rewarded on March 28.

To register for this credit card, you just need to install and open the Saison Gaming Card App, which is immediately available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store in Japan. However, only people who are at least 18 years old, are no longer high school students, and have a Japanese bank account are actually able to proceed with the registration process.
