From the creative imagination of designer Keita Takahashi and developer Funomena, Wattam is a puzzle-adventure game about the joys of friendship and discovery. Known for his work on titles like Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy, his distinctive charm is here in spades. Fans can wishlist the game on Steam now. Check out the announcement trailer and screenshots below to get a peek at the game’s tone.

Players can enjoy Wattam solo or in couch co-op as they befriend all sorts of wacky characters. From toilets to trees, players will make discoveries spanning all four seasons. We were quite enamored with the game when we playtested it. Check out our detailed impressions here.

The publisher, Annapurna Interactive, has a great history of bringing creative titles to fans like Sayonara Wild Hearts, Outer Wilds, and Journey. The company’s goal is to publish games that are “personal, emotional, and original.”

Wattam will release on Steam on December 18, 2020. The title is currently available on PlayStation 4, as well.
