Capcom Arcade Stadium, a collection of 32 classic games from the company’s history, is coming to Nintendo Switch in February 2021. It’s packaged as a free download, with games sold as downloadable content packs. 1943 -The Battle of Midway- will be included for free.
This collection packs in some extra features for these games. These include rewind, difficulty, game speed and visual filters. There are global leaderboards for individual games, as well as special weekly challenges. You can even make it look like you’re playing the game in the original arcade cabinet, if you want.
You can buy all the Capcom Arcade Stadium games in one big pack and get Ghosts ‘n Goblins as a bonus. Alternatively, titles will be sold in three packs. “Dawn of the Arcade” includes ten games that made their debut from 1984 to 1988. “Arcade Revolution” includes ten games released from 1989 to 1992. The final pack, “Arcade Evolution,” covers 1992 to 2001.
The announcement was made during The Game Awards‘ 2020 presentation, alongside a new Ghosts ‘n Goblins game. You can check out Capcom’s feature trailer for the game below.
