Here’s What the Persona 5 AFK Arena Ren and Makoto Units Look Like

More details about the Persona 5 AFK Arena event are here, what with it kicking off on December 30, 2020. To be more specific, there are two new videos to look at. One is a general announcement trailer showing off the collaboration, while the other is a showcase dedicated to showing how Ren “Joker” Amamiya and Makoto “Queen” Niijima will actually work in the game.

The reveal trailer is set to “Life Will Change,” the Lyn Inaizumi song heard throughout both Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. While some in-game footage is showcased, it’s more about introducing the two and showing AFK Arena in general with the JRPG’s aesthetic. The very end of the video teases the start date for the crossover.

The other video focuses on Joker and Queen’s specific skills. For example, his moveset includes Maeigaon as an Ultimate Skill, Adverse Reaction, Concentrated Fire, and All-Out Attack. It looks like even if you don’t get Queen, she’ll still make a cameo appearance during All-Out Attack. Meanwhile, Queen has the Stationary Drifter Ultimate Skill and Freidyne, Attack & Defend, and Ms. Post-Apocalyptic Raider abilities.

AFK Arena is available on Android and Apple iOS devices. The Persona 5 AFK Arena event will begin on December 30, 2020.
