Stardew Valley 1.5 Console Patch Could Arrive ‘by the End of January’

There’s an update on when people might be able to start seeing the new farm and post-game options for Stardew Valley on systems like the Switch, PS4, and Xbox One. Eric “Concerned Ape” Barone offered a general release window for the Stardew Valley 1.5 console patch on Twitter. While “it could be ready by the end of January [2021],” it has an official early 2021 release window. It is already available on PCs.

That does only apply to the console versions of the update, however. Barone said, “Mobile has no release estimate yet.” Also, the PlayStation Vita version no longer gets these sorts of updates, so people won’t have the new areas or features on the handheld.

Here’s Barone’s full statement, which covered everything rather succinctly.

In the meantime, Concerned Ape is working on making sure the latest update works as intended on PCs. Back on December 24, 2020, a 1.5.1 patch launched. In addition to fixing bugs, it made some helpful changes. For example, your spouse won’t find rugs incredibly fascinating for long periods of time.

Stardew Valley is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices. While the latest update is available on PCs now, the Stardew Valley 1.5 console patch won’t be out until “early next year.”
