Acquire opened an official page for Labyrinth of Zangetsu alongside the announcement. Very little information is currently available, as more details will be released at a later date. However, the webpage does list KaeruPanda Inc. as the developer for the upcoming title.

This game will attempt to return to the the origin of the hack and slash genre. In addition, the title will feature music inspired by various eras of Japanese history. You can take a look at the first images of the upcoming 3D dungeon RPG below.

Recently, Acquire’s Takuma Endo teased the possibility of a Tenchu reboot in an interview with Famitsu. Additionally, the company recently renewed its trademark for Stealth Assassin, which was used in the English localization of the first title in the series.

Labyrinth of Zangetsu will release in Summer 2021 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. There is currently no word of a potential localization.
