Cave revealed a special reversible sukajan (souvenir jacket) for its bullet hell shoot ’em up DoDonPachi Resurrection. The limited jacket will be made by sukajan-maker, Switch Planning and goes for 44,000円 (~$424). Pre-orders are now live on the official Cave Online Shop. [Thanks, 4Gamer.]
One side of the reversible jacket will be black and gold and feature the final true last boss “]-[|/34<#!” (Hibachi). The other side will come in black and silver, and it will shows a shower of purple bullets with the Japanese logo of the game.
The Hibachi side of the jacket has Cave Combat System and danger icons on the front. For those unfamiliar, Hibachi is a recurring bee-like boss that often appears as a final or “true final” boss throughout the series.
The bullet hell side of the jacket also has its unique details. Included are Cave’s company logo and a “Do-Don-Pachi Dai-Fukkatsu” (DoDonPachi Resurrection) logo on the front.
The DoDonPachi Resurrection sukajan jacket will come in five sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL. Pre-orders are now live in Japan and will be available until 11:59pm (JST) on February 5, 2021. Keep in mind that pixiv accounts are required to make purchases on the Cave Online Shop.
DoDonPachi Resurrection is immediately available for PC via Steam. If you’re looking for more video game-themed jackets, Mother 2 is getting a sukajan next month, with a design based on the same jacket that the original creators wore.
