People have more options when it comes to The Witcher 3 Switch port. There’s still the Complete Edition, which debuted on the system in 2019. But now people who maybe just want the base game can get it alone for a cheaper price. However, CD Projekt Red also noted that this means the Complete Edition will eventually be removed.
Here’s how everything is right now. Both The Witcher 3 Switch and its Complete Edition have separate eShop listings. The game alone is $39.99. That version lets you buy the Blood and Wine or the Hearts of Stone expansions for $19.99 and $9.99, respectively. People could also still get the version with the game and all paid DLC for $59.99.
There’s no date for The Witcher 3 Complete Edition eShop delisting yet. However, it will happen and there will be a similarly priced bundle for the single game to replace it. The company also noted that everyone who already owns the Complete Edition will also own the new version. However, save files from one aren’t compatible with the other unless you send them to a PC version first.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X versions will also appear in 2021.
