Scarlet Nexus Others Analyzed in Latest Dev Diary

A new Scarlet Nexus dev diary is here. Once again, Producer Keita Iizuka, Director Kenji Anabuki, and Art Director Kouta Ochiai came together to talk about the game. This time, the focus is on enemies. We learn about the Scarlet Nexus Others designs and how people in the game survive those sorts of attacks.

For example, a big part of the discussion involves how people in New Himuka even survive. While the Others Suppression Force does exist to fight these monsters, they do still appear. Anabuki pointed out that people can coexist because of technological measures. A forecast lets people know when these enemies might drop. That means that can get inside and to safety, and OSF members like Kasane and Yuito can head in.

After that, Ochiai talked about the Scarlet Nexus enemy designs. He noted that each one is a combination of organic and inorganic materials. The goal is to make “incomprehensible creatures.”

Here is the third developer diary looking at some of the Scarlet Nexus foes and bosses.

In case you missed it, the past two diaries looked at world-building. The first explored the meaning behind the title. The second offered an overview of New Himuka and also touched on the Scarlet Nexus residents.

Scarlet Nexus will come to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in Fall 2021.
