Q-Games revealed the new PixelJunk game. However, people will need to opt in to Google’s Stadia service to play it. PixelJunk Raiders will launch there on March 1, 2021. People who don’t subscribe to Stadia Pro can buy it. Those who do subscribe will get it for free as part of the Stadia Pro March 2021 lineup of free games.
In PixelJunk Raiders, you’re one of the few people able to defend the people of Tantal from aliens. Your goal will be to fight the monsters that try to steal the energy from people on the planet. As a roguelike, you’ll get stronger even if you fall. It also looks like you’ll be able to place different mechanisms to offer additional protection against the enemies.
The launch trailer for the game also revealed how it will use Stadia’s unique features. People will be able to use State Share to send save states to other people playing. While the exact benefits weren’t noted, the trailer did say “powerful boosts” will result from using someone else’s save to fight back.
