KOF XV Rollback Netcode in the Works

Producer Yasuyuki Oda took to Twitter to reveal a The King of Fighters XV feature that will aid online matches. The team is working on the fighter’s netcode. Most importantly, SNK is developing KOF XV rollback netcode.

Here’s Oda’s statement. He specifically noted that SNK “can’t make any promises yet” regarding KOF XV rollback netcode, though.

As for the next KOF XV update, one will be coming next week. After SNK revealed Chizuru would join the cast, it also mentioned when we’ll see another roster reveal. Chizuru’s trailer eventually took the place of the final February 2021 one. So instead, we’ll see another new character in March 2021.

In the meantime, here’s the Team Sacred Treasures theme “Fictitious or Real.”

KOF XV will launch in 2021 and SNK is looking into rollback netcode for the game.
