Sony revealed it will announce PlayStation VR games on March 3, 2021, then kicked things off with DOOM 3 VR Edition. It will appear on March 29, 2021 and work with the PS4 and PS5. In addition, it will include the main game and two expansion packs. Both of those were also part of the DOOM 3 BFG Edition remaster.
The announcement offered a few details about how it changed to adapt it for the PSVR. For example, there are actions that make it easier to play from that perspective. You’ll be able to look at your wrist to check your current stats. Everything will be adjusted to better handle playing in VR, so you have motion controls and a 180-degree turn.

The last version of DOOM 3 first appeared back in 2012. DOOM 3 BFG Edition offered improved visuals and quality of life changes. While it initially shows up on the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, it also eventually ended up ported to the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and NVIDIA Shield.
DOOM 3 VR Edition will be available for PS4 and PS5 owners with PSVR headsets.
