Genshin Impact will have a collaboration with the fast food chain, KFC. Also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, the collab includes both in-game rewards and real-life advertisements in Chinese restaurants. The promotion will begin in China on March 8, 2021. [Thanks, Forbes!] Information on other territories is a little hazy, though we do have confirmation that in-game rewards will come to the West in some form.
The Genshin Impact KFC collab focuses on the characters Noelle and Diluc, though others will see a little love, too. As for the in-game rewards, players can obtain KFC-colored wings for their favorite heroes. Additionally, there will be Noelle and Diluc sticker sets to use as emotes. Thanks to Twitter user AE Entropy, fans can check out Noelle’s stickers here and here. There are also single stickers of a few other characters, including Keqing. At KFC restaurants in China, fans can get a bucket of chicken with Diluc in a server’s uniform on it.
As for what’s coming to the West out of this crossover, the trailer for the game’s 1.4 update gave us a hint. The above image comes from the end of the video. It clearly shows both Noelle and Diluc in their KFC server uniforms with the words “coming soon.”
The Genshin Impact KFC event will begin in China on March 8, 2021. The game’s 1.4 update will launch on March 17, 2021. Genshin Impact is available on the PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and iOS, with a Nintendo Switch port in the works.
