Genshin Impact Hangout Events

Take Genshin Impact Characters on Dates in Hangout Events

Genshin Impact Version 1.4, “Invitation of Windblume,” will introduce a new system called Hangout Events. In Hangout Events, you will go on ‘dates’ with four characters, Chongyun, Noelle, Bennett, and Barbara, in order to unlock various rewards and different endings. The Version 1.4 release date is March 17, 2021.

Hangout Events will work like character quests, which require you to unlock them with Story Keys. However, each Hangout Event will cost two Story Keys. Though the dialogue options in game usually do not affect the story or characters’ responses, they will be very important for the Hangout Events. For example, if you say something that lowers a character’s Heartbeat Value, there is the possibility of the Hangout Event ending prematurely. Fortunately, you can replay any part of the Hangout Event without needing additional Story Keys.

There are different endings and different Hangout Memories, which are essentially event CGs in a dating sim. The rewards include Primogems, talent books, experience books, and ascension materials. Only Chongyun, Noelle, Bennett, and Barbara are available for Hangout Events, but miHoYo may include more in the future.

The Windblume Festival story quest in Version 1.4 will also have multiple endings. Rewards include the four-star Windblume Ode weapon and items such as the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon. Rosaria, a four-star Cryo character, will make an appearance in the gacha as well.

Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices. The Version 1.4 update will go live on March 17, 2021.
