Another game with The Legend of Zelda-like elements is heading to both the Switch and PC. Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion will appear on both platforms in April 2021. However, an exact date for the debut isn’t available yet.
As you might imagine, Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion stars the titular Turnip Boy. He didn’t pay taxes, so the government repossessed everything and is after him for money. (As pointed out in a trailer, $143,753.) It is up to players to decide how he handles the situations. There will be dungeons, filled with treacherous vegetarian bugs and animals, puzzles, and treasures. Your goal will be to help people around you and accumulate money, which can then be used to deal with the current situation and authorities. However, Turnip Boy can also find (and destroy) tax documents. Depending on how you play, you can earn different endings.
To help provide a better idea of how it works, here’s the Switch trailer for the game. It shows how Turnip Boy can use weapons he’s grown to attack enemies, explore areas, and perhaps even take down a corrupt government.
Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion will come to the Nintendo Switch and PC in April 2021. The Steam demo is available, but there isn’t one in the eShop.
