Genshin Impact Developer Asks Players Not to Spread Patch 1.5 Leaks

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo has taken to Twitter, asking players and fans not to spread leaks regarding the upcoming 1.5 patch. The request was made hours after several leaks regarding the patch were posted online to various websites. The datamine revealed two characters. The leaked information then circulated through Twitter. Additionally, the statement miHoYo released through the English Genshin Impact Twitter account mentions that they will be working to increase their effort in dealing with “such illegal disclosures” in relation to leaks.

The full statement mentions that the developers discovered and are aware of the leaks, and that these leaks tend to lead to misconceptions about new content that may appear in newer versions of the game. miHoYo goes on to say that instances involving datamining and leaks disrupt the development and promotion of any potentially new content.
