Ratchet Clank PS5 60fps update

Ratchet & Clank Will Be Playable at 60fps on PS5s in April

Insomniac Games confirmed that the 2016 PS4 game Ratchet & Clank will soon be playable at 60fps on the PS5. After an update in April 2021, fans will be able to enjoy buttery-smooth animations on their next-gen console. Ratchet & Clank is available for free on the PlayStation Store until March 31, 2021, as part of Sony’s Play At Home promotion.

Developed by Insomniac Games, 2016’s Ratchet & Clank is a reimagining of the first game in the series. The game reviewed well upon release, but now there is another reason to revisit the title with fresh eyes. Insomniac did not give a date on the upcoming April update’s release, so all we do know is that the PS5 version of Ratchet & Clank will play at 60fps. The developer made the announcement on its official Twitter account and did not suggest the update will come with any other features.

Additionally, as part of Sony’s March 2021 Play At Home initiative, fans can nab Ratchet & Clank for free before the month is up. Sony has at least ten games on offer in its promotion, including Enter the Gungeon, Astro Bot Rescue Mission, and Thumper. In April 2021, Horizon Zero Dawn will temporarily be free.

Ratchet & Clank is available now on the PlayStation 4; the 60fps PS5 update will release sometime in April 2021.
