Firstly, the combat in Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 has been adjusted in several ways. Players will now have access to a skill board, which has been added to enhance the RPG elements of the series. Through this system, players will be able to feel their choices more keenly when engaging in combat.
Additionally, users will be able to access online co-op in Utawarerumono: ZAN 2. However, this feature has only been announced and has not been detailed in full. More information will arrive at a later date. In the screenshots below you can see players interacting using stickers as a method of communication.
Aquaplus has shared the opening movie for Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 through its official YouTube channel. This features a look at the characters that will appear during the game and a brief look at combat. Additionally, Utawarerumono: ZAN 2 will have entirely new voice acted scenarios.
Utawarerumono: ZAN 2Â will release on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on July 22, 2021 to Japanese audiences.
