Laid-Back Camp Have A Nice Day

Laid-Back Camp: Have a Nice Day! Will Pitch Its Tent in 2021

Steins;Gate developer MAGES is working on a new game based on the comfy camping anime Laid-Back Camp called Laid-Back Camp: Have A Nice Day! It previously teased it without a proper title following the end of the anime’s second season broadcast. Now, MAGES dropped the full title and a Fall 2021 release window via a tweet:

Beyond the title, platforms and release window, new information about Laid-Back Camp: Have a Nice Day! was practically absent, even on the newly opened official site. Most likely it will follow a different style and structure than the current Laid-Back Camp -Virtual- experiences. Given MAGES’ publishing history, an adventure game or visual novel structure may also be likely. MAGES also promoted a collaboration with Tomy’s Choro-Q toys and stated that a mini-figurine of character Rin Shima on her scooter would be included with the limited edition of the game.

Laid-Back Camp: Have a Nice Day! will the third game based on the series, which was originally created by artist Afro as a manga. The story follows a group of high school girls who love to camp at spots around Japan, particularly the foothills and lakes around Mount Fuji and Yamanashi prefecture. Rin Shima prefers to “solo camp” in the wintertime, spending nights reading in blissful solitude. Until one day, she meets Nadeshiko Kagamihara, an energetic transfer student who becomes camp-curious after a fateful night at Lake Motosu. Nadeshiko joins her school’s Outdoor Activities club and meets Chiaki Ogaki and Aoi Inuyama, and the three, alongside Rin and her buddy Ena Saito, go on relaxed outdoor adventures. The manga was adapted into an anime series by studio C-Station in 2018, and broadcast its second season in 2021.

Laid-Back Camp: Have a Nice Day! is planned for release on the Nintendo Switch and PS4 in 2021. The Laid-Back Camp -Virtual- experiences are available on PS4, iOS, Android, Switch, and PC. The series is available for streaming via Crunchyroll.
