A demo for Tantei Bokumetsu will appear on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on May 13, 2021. The demo will include the first chapter of the game. Additionally the save data from the Tantei Bokumetsu demo can carry over into the full release of the game. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089!]
Tantei Bokumetsu is a detective adventure game that serves as an investigation simulator. Players assume the role of a young detective as they work to uncover the identity of a prolific serial killer. Nippon Ichi Software has revealed a total of fourteen characters, with each of these primary characters being some kind of detective. Their involvement in the case will be detailed further in the story of the game. Each of these characters comes with their own unique strengths and weaknesses.
Players can investigate various locations to find clues and must avoid traps set by the serial killer. Additionally, the game adds another layer to the investigation through a trust based system that will impact how the various detectives interact with one another. Some conversations will also only play out under specific circumstances, which the player will need to trigger in order to find out new information for the investigation.
Tantei Bokumetsu will release for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on May 27, 2021 to Japanese audiences.
