Monster Hunter Stories 2 Is the Most Downloaded Switch Game in July

Nintendo has released its official ranking of the most downloaded games for the month of July 2021, with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin taking first place. A total of 20 games were listed for the month of July. The list includes Monster Hunter Rise and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD. However, this list is exclusively in Japanese. As mentioned previously, Monster Hunter Stories 2 has taken the top spot as the most downloaded game for the Nintendo Switch in July 2021. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD holds second place. Crayon Shin-chan Ora to Hakase no Natsuyasumi then sits at third place on the list. Other notable titles include Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights at spot 10 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate at spot 11. Monster Hunter Rise sits at spot 17.

Previously, Nintendo shared that Monster Hunter Rise was the most downloaded title during the first half of 2021. Monster Hunter Rise has continued to climb the charts, earning its spot as Capcom’s best selling single platform title.

In July 2021, Capcom announced that sales for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin had surpassed 1 million units worldwide. This included both downloaded and physical sales of the title.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is immediately available for Nintendo Switch and PC.
