Kinoko Nasu stated that while the original release of Tsukihime is old, that doesn’t make it bad. However, in order to appeal to a younger audience they had to make some minor changes.. This is the reason for several adjustments and changes that will appear in the game. Regarding the major change that will appear in the Tsukihime remake, Takashi Takeuchi had this to say:

The remake will have one very big change. Those who are fond of the original may be somewhat disappointed with this change. However, I would appreciate it if you think of every change as something meaningful.

This interview did not go into detail regarding the change coming to the Tsukihime remake. Additionally, Type-Moon has taken to Twitter to ask that players refrain from sharing spoilers regarding the Tsukihime remake. However, this is only for a limited period of time. Users are free to share spoilers after the initial date has passed.

Tsukihime: A Piece of Blue Glass Moon will release in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on August 26, 2021.
