Connected Battlers will let you play Bandai’s Battle Spirits card game in a digital format. It will include over 1,000 cards with a focus on the Rebirth and True Rebirth Saga. The physical limited edition will come with three exclusive cards that players can use in the physical card game.

Newcomers will be able to learn the latest game rules by playing the single-player Story Mode. It will have an original storyline where the player takes the role of a boy named Toya and fight against numerous rivals, including Toya’s childhood friend Yu and the reigning champion Souji.

While non-cross-platform online battles will also be available, players will need a subscription to PlayStation Plus or Nintendo Switch Online to access them. The Switch version will support offline local versus with nearby players.

Battle Spirits: Connected Battlers will be available in Japan for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2022.
