The shoot ’em up game will have three playable characters: Tohru, Kanna, and Elma. While the player will generally control one character on screen, they can switch to another character right in the middle of a stage. The character sent to reserve will be able to gradually restore HP if they have received some damage.

Choro-gon Breath will have a new storyline with multiple endings. The game will determine the ending shown by checking the player’s score. The Japanese voice actors from the anime adaptation will reprise their respective roles and provide new voices for the characters. In addition, the game will also have a collection feature where players complete paintings by collecting pieces scattered across the stages.

Famitsu also revealed that Kaminari Games is working on this Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid game. Jin Hoshino, a veteran game creator who previously worked on classic shmup titles like Raiden and Caladrius, heads the development team.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Burst Forth: Choro-gon Breath will be available for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2022. Bushiroad has also confirmed that the game will be available in both Japanese and English.
