A new Genshin Impact event is due to start, and players who participate will be able to add rocker Xinyan to their party as a reward. The “Labyrinth Warriors” event was announced by miHoYo via Tweet with the details posted on the HoYoLab community site.
The Labyrinth Warriors event kicks off on October 21, 2021. Players will have about three weeks to clear it and claim Xinyan. Participation requires an adventure rank of 30 or above and the completion of the Archon Quest “Chapter II: Act III – Omnipresence Over Mortals,” the main story quest of Genshin Impact version 2.1.
From the start of the event, a new Labyrinth Warriors challenge stage will unlock every three days. Each challenge revolves around imprisoning dangerous monsters in the Mystic Onmyou Chamber and assisting Shiki Taishou.
Players will enter a Labyrinth Warriors domain and will need to ferry items called Shikifuda into the Mystic Onmyou Chamber to enlist the aid of Shiki Taishou. Shiki Taishou will then use magic to help clear the challenges, rewarding players with various currencies and items. Spending items, like Battered Shikifuda, will allow players to obtain beneficial effects to make the challenges easier. Aged Tokens are a currency for the event shop, tradeable for Primogems, Character and Talent ascension materials, Weapon and Character level-up items, Mora, and more. Further challenges are available in the “Rending Absolution” trial stage, as well.
To obtain Xinyan, Genshin Impact players need to fulfill some conditions in the “Blazing Unison” checklist. Once ready, trading a number of Aged Tokens on the event screen will net the character. Added in the version 1.1 update, Xinyan is a 4-Star Pyro claymore character. A resident of Liyue, Xinyan is a musical prodigy who loves rock music and performing for crowds across the land. Players who already have Xinyan in their playable roster will receive a constellation upgrade when they trade for her.
Genshin Impact is immediately available on PC, PS4, PS5 and mobile platforms. The Labyrinth Warriors event kicks off from October 21, 2021 and lasts until November 15, 2021.
