Street Fighter V Sales Reach 6 Million Units Worldwide

Capcom updated its Platinum Titles list, revealing that sales for Street Fighter V have reached 6 million units worldwide. This includes digital and physical sales of the title on PlayStation 4 and PC. Street Fighter V is just behind Street Fighter II in terms of sales, with Street Fighter II sitting at 6.3 million units sold.

Capcom also revealed that it will sell a new version of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition in Japan. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition All Character Pack will include previously released content bundled into one title, including previously released DLC fighters. It will immediately provide player with access to Luke. It is unclear whether or not this version will release outside of Japan. The new version will release for the PlayStation 4 in December.

Street Fighter V originally released in February 2016. In May 2016, the title had sold 1.4 million units worldwide. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition released in 2020. This version implemented new balance changes to the title and included the addition of the V-Skill mechanic. Additionally, new characters and stages have been added into the game through Season Passes.

Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is available for the PlayStation 4 and PC. Street Fighter V: Champion Edition All Character Pack will release on December 9, 2021 for PS4 in Japan.
