As the title implies, this mobile game will specifically focus on the Universal Century timeline. It will bring in famous pilots from the universe, such as Amuro Ray, Kamille Bidan, Judau Ashta, Banagher Links, Seabook Arno, and Uso Ewin. However, it will also include Jutta Qasim and the AMS-123X-X Moon Gundam from the ongoing manga series Mobile Suit Moon Gundam. U.C. Engage will feature an original female protagonist affiliated with Anaheim Electronics.

While Bandai Namco also uploaded a teaser trailer for the mobile game, it is region-locked to Japan only. The press release described Gundam: UC Engage as a war simulation game. Players will field up to six units in a strategy battle against six enemy units. The game will also retell stories from the Universal Century Gundam titles.

Bandai Namco will reveal more details on the new mobile game on November 16, 2021. Amuro Ray’s voice actor Toru Furuya will also attend the presentation.

Mobile Suit Gundam: U.C. Engage will be available for mobile devices in 2021 in Japan. The game will be free-to-play with optional in-app item purchases. Meanwhile, people interested in single-purchase console games can check out Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation Code Fairy, available immediately on PlayStation 4 and 5 worldwide.
