Phil Spencer, Head Executive of Microsoft’s Xbox Gaming Division, revealed in an interview with GQ magazine that The Elder Scrolls VI will release exclusively on Xbox and PC. Spencer revealed this information when talking about the Xbox and PC exclusive Starfield, which will release sometime in 2022. Information regarding The Elder Scrolls VI remains sparse. Originally announced in June 2018, Bethesda has revealed little to no information about the title. It provided an update regarding the game back in May 2020. However, it was revealed that consumers will need to wait until the development on Starfield has run its course before any major information about The Elder Scrolls VI is shared. One of the only things Bethesda has released regarding The Elder Scrolls VI is the initial announcement trailer.
However, in the interview with GQ, Spencer talks briefly about the legacy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and how it has impacted the development of the next installment in the series. Additionally, Spencer mentions that the technology used to develop Starfield will provide the base for next-generation features that will appear in The Elder Scrolls VI.
The Elder Scrolls VI is currently in development and will release exclusively for PC and Xbox.
