Dragon Ball: The Breakers is a New Asymmetrical Survival Game

Bandai Namco revealed a new Dragon Ball asymmetrical action game along the lines of Dead by Daylight called Dragon Ball: The Breakers. The game will involve seven ordinary citizens of the world as “survivors” and one familiar sort of foe as a “raider.” It will launch in 2022 on consoles and PCs. However, a closed beta test will appear on PCs before that.

Here’s the first Dragon Ball: The Breakers trailer. First, it sets up the games’ atmosphere. We see an abandoned and attacked city. Imperfect Cell is searching for people. After checking out and seeing it seems empty, he leaves. That’s when we see that Oolong is one of the survivors. He shapeshifts into his normal form and runs away.

After that, it shows off gameplay. First, we see Imperfect Cell as a Raider. Then, we see a handful of Survivors. (A version of Bulma is among them.) Once they’re introduced, we watch as the two groups face each other. While the classic Dragon Ball villain could potentially rely on their abilities in this new asymmetrical action game, the Survivors can use things like tools to escape or even fight back against them.

Dragon Ball: The Breakers will come to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC in 2022. A closed beta test is on the way for PCs.
