The band SiM (short for Silence iz Mine) performed the opening theme “The Rumbling,” with artist MAH providing vocals. Vocalist MAH states that the band has the deepest love and respect toward the past theme songs, and hopes that they were able to create a new world with their own approach. SiM has performed openings for popular video games and anime in the past, including the opening for Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Gundam Extreme Maxi Boost ON.

Ai Higuchi is a Japanese singer-songwriter, and she performed the ending theme “Devil’s Child.” In her comments, Higuchi discusses how she could have turned out had she been born inside or outside the wall, or as a Marleyan or Eldian. She also notes that she was unable to look away from the story’s twisted sense of justice and that she would continue to look for the answers to Attack on Titan’s questions for the rest of her life. Previously, Higuchi also performed the ending theme for the Yamishibai anime.
