Evangelion Ichiban Kuji Prizes Include Eva Pilot Pillows

Banpresto’s new Ichiban Kuji Evangelion merchandise includes three pillows featuring Eva pilots Asuka, Rei, and Mari. Other prizes include two figures of Asuka and Rei, hand towels, illustrated art boards, and rubber keychains. Additionally, the last prize is an alternate version of Asuka. The prizes will be available at participating stores in Japan starting January 15, 2022. [Thanks, Famitsu!]

The Evangelion Heroines Ichiban Kuji line will feature the 1/4 scale “Quarter Impact” figures of Asuka and Rei for the first time. Both figures will stand at about 18cm tall (about 7 inches) and be available as A and B-tier prizes, respectively. The C, D, and E-tier prizes are double-sided pillows of Asuka, Rei, and Mari Illustrious. The pillows feature illustrations of the Eva pilots from the Rebuild of Evangelion film series and are 45×30 cm in size (about 16×11 inches).

Furthermore, hand towels with brush-style illustrations of several Eva units are included as F-tier prizes. G-tier prizes will be illustrated art boards of various characters from past and current Evangelion series. The H-tier prize is a rubber keychain. Finally, those who pick up the last prize will receive a special edition Asuka figure with an alternate pose.

Neon Genesis Evangelion appeared as one of the most tweeted about franchises in 2021. NHK also featured Evangelion‘s theme song “Cruel Angel’s Thesis” during a New Year’s special program.

The Evangelion Ichiban Kuji prizes and pillows will be available starting January 15, 2022, in select Japanese stores.
