Last week I mentioned this as a rumor, now Arc System Works confirmed Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus is slated to come out in 2008. On March 27 they are releasing it as a standalone game for 6,090 yen ($53) and simultaneously selling an append disc for 2,079 ($18). The append disc is cheaper because it requires the Guilty Gear XX Accent Core PlayStation 2 disc to work. There still isn’t any information about what the “plus” represents, but hopefully it’s more than bug fixes.
Levi prudently points out more information about Guilty Gear XX Accent core in his comment. He says, "Spencer, I’ve got some info for you on this. GGXX AC Plus has a brand new, fully voiced story mode with branching paths and 350 different scenarios that takes place after the events of GGXX for PS2, Kliff and Justice have been put back in the game, all the bugfixes and rebalances are in place, and there’s also a new Mission mode where characters can level up."
Sounds like worthy additions are part of the package. Hopefully, Aksys will pick this up and the extra content will appear for Wii owners too.
