Bandai Namco Will Donate to Charity for Ukraine

Bandai Namco announced that it will donate 100 million yen (around $854,000) to the charity Save the Children in support of Ukraine. According to its website, Save the Children provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine through services like food provision, money grants, and therapy programs. Bandai Namco ended the statement with hopes that peace will return as soon as possible.

Save the Children first started operating in Ukraine in 2014, and it has undertook multiple projects to help children in crises there. During the conflict with Russia, Save the Children has been working with local organizations to distribute necessities.

Other companies that have donated money to aid Ukraine include Koei Tecmo Holdings and The Pokemon Company. Yoko Taro also announced that he would donate part of his merchandise sales to Ukraine. CD Projekt Red and 11 bit Studios also made a donation, whereas Necrosoft Games is organizing a charity bundle.

As for Bandai Namco’s games, its Elden Ring recently surpassed 278,507 units, according to Famitsu. This number only accounts for PS4 and PS5 copies. Upcoming games from Bandai Namco include Gundam Evolution (which will launch worldwide) and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R. All Star Battle R will be the console version of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle arcade game.
