Super cute Final Fantasy miniatures return

Last year Square-Enix released the first set of tiny, designed-to-be cute series of Final Fantasy miniatures. Cloud, Vaan and Yuna were in the first batch of super deformed Tetsuya Nomura characters. The second round includes Tifa, Ashe, Basch, Auron and Squall. Japan gets these in April, but I wouldn’t rush to import them.

Square-Enix has been carrying trading arts figures in their online goods shop in set bundles. The upside is you know what figures you get. The downside is each US series is missing figures. The Final Fantasy Trading Arts Mini Set Vol. 1 excludes Penelo and the Final Fantasy Tactics Trading Arts set cuts Balthier. Out of Vol. 2 Basch is the most likely character to remain as a Japanese exclusive.
