Fire Emblem Engage Celica

Fire Emblem Engage Celica Tutorial Released

The official Japanese Fire Emblem Engage account released a short tutorial detailing how players will be able to use the Emblem ring for Fire Emblem Echoes alum Celica. In the title, Celica appears as a character who can be summoned to support units on the field. The game itself revolves around calling these famed characters to lend their prowess in battle.

Celica debuted in Fire Emblem Gaiden.  She is a playable protagonist in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, the 3DS remake of Gaiden. There, she is a princess of the nation of Zofia and fights in the war on the Valentian continent.

In Fire Emblem Engage, Celica is an Emblem character that specializes at using magical attacks. She’s also particularly good at tackling the Corrupted enemies found throughout the game. Characters with a more magical favor in their stats and classes will be most compatible with her.

Celica also has several abilities, like a Sync skill that reflects damage back onto Corrupted enemies. Her Engage Weapon Seraphim (or “Angel” in Japanese) further damages Corrupted enemies with magical power. Her Engage Skill “Recital” (or “recitation”) splits a magical attack into two, slightly weaker magical attacks. The “Warp Liner” Engage Attack teleports the Celica-using unit to a faraway enemy and attacks it. Flying-type units can warp even further when using Warp Liner.

Fire Emblem Engage launches for the Nintendo Switch on January 20, 2023.
