Genshin Impact Windtrace Event Rerun Detailed

The Genshin Impact Windtrace event is about to get a rerun on December 23, 2022. To help people prepare for the hide-and-seek event, HoYoVerse offered a reminder of what to expect. As usual, it went over the general point of the game, requirements to play, and rewards.

To take part in Windtrace rerun, you need to be at least at Adventure Rank 20. However, to unlock every Contested Zone map, you’ll need to have hit additional Adventure Ranks and reached certain Statue of the Seven monuments in different regions. The Inazuma one is mentioned specifically here, which needs you to hit AR 30 to get to the Chapter 2, Act 1 “Ritou Escape Plan” quest that lets you get to the right Statue of the Seven.

If you do meet requirements, you can head into a four player match to play the game. Three people will be considered Rebels, and the fourth will be the Hunter. The Hunter wins by catching all three Rebels using smarts and Windward Arts like a Sensor Aura that gives a hint as to where someone is. The Rebels win by hiding and evading the Hunter, with that side being victorious as long as one person remains undiscovered. Windward Arts for them include ones that let them disguise themselves as an item in the environment. You get Windtrace Coins for participating, with more doled out for wins, though those are only awarded in randomized games.

The rewards this time around are also the same as usual. As you hit certain Windtrace Coin plateaus, you’ll get certain items. Hero’s Wit experience books, Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ores, and Primogems are all among the items. So are weapon enhancement items.

This is the third time people can play Windtrace in-game. It originally debuted back in May 2021. A follow-up appeared in January 2022.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices, and the Windtrace event will appear December 23, 2022 through January 6, 2023.
