Tales of Symphonia Anime Episode Shared Ahead of Remaster Release

Bandai Namco released the first episode of the Tales of Symphonia anime OVA worldwide ahead of the remaster’s February 2023 debut. The Japanese Twitter account noted all 11 episodes will eventually be released in this manner. However, the English Twitter and YouTube accounts don’t note if people worldwide can expect a new episode every Wednesday.

Ufotable, the studio that also worked on Tales series game animations, worked on the Tales of Symphonia anime. While there are 11 total episodes, this animated adaptation actually showed up in blocks years apart. The first part of the Tales of Symphonia anime consisted of the Sylvarant arc, which consisted of four episodes released in 2007. It was followed by the four episode Tethe’alla arc and three episode United World arc. There was about a three year gap between the Sylvarant and Tethe’alla ones.

As someone can expect, the first episode picks up from the very beginning of Tales of Symphonia. We first meet Lloyd, Colette, Genius, Kratos, and Raine as the group helps the chosen one Collette on her journey to reach the Tower of Salvation and save their world.

Here is the first Tales of Symphonia anime episode.

Tales of Symphonia Remastered will show up on February 17, 2023 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. People can also find the Tales of Symphonia Chronicles remaster on the PlayStation 3 and PC.
