Guilty Gear Strive Cross-Platform Beta Details Shared

Arc System Works shared more details about its planned beta test for Guilty Gear Strive cross-platform play. This is a different initiative from the recent patch that added cross-play compatibility between the PS4, PS5 and PC. The test will run from February 3, 2023 through February 6, 2023.

According to the announcement page, the new open beta will test Guilty Gear Strive cross-platform play across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. It’ll be held in a separate beta client, which will need to be downloaded from each platform’s respective storefront. The open beta is available to anyone free of charge. It doesn’t require the Guilty Gear Strive base game to use. A PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription will not be required to use the Guilty Gear Strive cross platform open beta. However, save data cannot be carried over to the main game. There may be content differences as well from the main game.

The beta client will include the following modes:

  • Tutorial
  • Mission
  • Survival
  • Training
  • VS (COM and 2P)
  • Online Match (including Rank Tower, Open Park, and Player Match)
  • Combo Maker
  • Digital Figure
  • Gallery

The current, 22-strong roster of the game will be available to use in the cross platform open beta. This includes the DLC and Season Pass characters, like Bridget, Sin, and Baiken.

Guilty Gear Strive is available on the PS4, PS5, and PC. It will come to the Xbox One and Xbox Series X in early 2023. The cross-platform open beta client will be available on PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X from February 3 through February 6, 2023.
