The Karaoke J-Horror Game By Chilla’s Art to Appear in February

Chilla’s Art announced that its newest title, The Karaoke, will come out on February 3, 2023. It is already available on Steam for those who want to Wishlist it. The Karaoke will be a J-Horror game about a high school girl at a karaoke. From screenshots, it looks like it will have a similar aesthetic and play style to many of Chilla’s Art’s past games.

As it is a J-Horror game, The Karaoke will only have Japanese audio. However, it will support a total of ten languages for its interface and subtitles. These languages include English, Korean, German, Simplified Chinese, Russian, and more. Outside of exploration and mystery-solving that is common in Chilla’s Art games, there will also be basketball and karaoke mini-games.

Games from Chilla’s Art have been popular with streamers for several years now. They usually have a low-resolution retro aesthetic, as well as multiple endings. Some popular games from Chilla’s Art include Aka Manto, The Convenience Store, and The Closing Shift. Though there are some exceptions, the gameplay usually features the protagonist experiencing bizarre phenomena over the course of several nights. They can gather clues to figure out the tragic history of the antagonist. This culminates into a final confrontation at the end.

The Karaoke will come out on Windows PCs on February 3, 2023.
