Back in June 2022, Kotobukiya announced it would create a reimagining of Transformers character Bumblebee as a cute girl as part of its Bishoujo figure line. Now the official figure is revealed, pre-orders are opening, and full details appeared. Bumblebee will join the collection in August 2023. This will be a 16,000円/$149.99 figure.
Bumblebee is about eight and a half inches tall. Like all figures in the Bishoujo line, it is a static figure. It is also, as always a design created by Shunya Yamashita. There’s even official art showing how the original Bumblebee inspired this version.
The hood of her top has the same horns as her helmet. Also, the overall elements and loose socks are designed to recreate the look of the car windows on her chest and metallic leg parts.
Kotobukiya also shared an official video looking at the figure from different angles.
As a reminder, Bumblebee is the third Transformers Bishoujo figure to appear. The collection kicked off with Optimus Prime. That figure debuted in January 2023. Megatron showed up too. It launched in February 2023.
The Transformers Bumblebee Bishoujo figure is on the way and is expected to debut worldwide sometime in August 2023.
