A Disney Illusion Island Switch release date appeared during the February 2023 Nintendo Direct. The platformer, which involves Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy and looks similar to the Rayman Legends series, will appear on July 28, 2023. It will allow between one and four people to play together. A new trailer offered a look at what that will entail.
Here’s the new trailer. First, it begins with an explanation. Mickey and his friends are tasked with helping an island and its residents. To do so, they need to go through levels to collect three books. There seems to be some Metroidvania elements, as the quartet will get new abilities that allow them to access extra areas. It also showed there will be cooperative mechanics. You can hug to restore health, leapfrog off another player for a better jump, or drop a rope to help someone else reach a higher area.
The Disney Illusion Island Switch release date is July 28, 2023. It will be $39.99 when it appears.
